Biographical sketch [microform] (Typescript).

Born at Fort Niagara, New York, son of Parshall Terry and Amy Stevens. Family move from New York to Upper Canada; family conversion in 1838; immigration to Missouri shortly thereafter; death of his eleve-year-old daughter due to exposure after being forced from home by mobs in Missouri; exodus west; relief found at Fort Bridger, Wyoming, due to efforts of their son Joshua; arrial in Salt Lake Valley, 1849; removal to Lehi, 1851, and to Provo, 1853; death of Parshall Terry, 1861; marriage to Hannah Terry, 1802.
